Posting results - WHAT'S THE RUSH? |
|
Entrants pay you money to enter your competition. Some of them spend money on packaging materials. Most of them pay all the shipping costs. All of them put a certain amount of time and effort into it. They really don't want to wait a few days for you to get around to posting the results - they want their 'taters and they want them now. Getting the results posted on your web site doesn't seem like that much of a stretch. MCAB wants to attract serious national competitors, as well as local entrants. Local entrants qualify for the MCAB finals and discover that they're capable of big things, and we welcome that. But at the same time, we need to serve the serious competitors who enter several MCAB Qualifying Events. We would like the Qualifying events to be spread evenly over the calendar year, but they're not. Consequently, some occur pretty close to others. Because of that, it's important that the serious competitors get their results quickly in order to help them prepare for the next QE. After all, if an entrant qualifies for the MCAB finals in your QE, that entrant probably won't want to compete in future QE's in that category. |
