Most important piece of equipment |
In Florida, it gets ridiculously hot. Having temperature control of your fermentation is a MUST. | ||
| Keys to success: | Quality ingredients, fermentation practices and packaging are the three things I find most important. | ||

History: I started brewing on a Mr. Beer kit at 19 years old with a friend. I hid the fermenter in my closet so my mom wouldn’t find it, and bottled it in 2-liter soda bottles. The beer was disgusting. Eventually I began bucket fermentations with cans of pre-hopped extract. The beer was okay. I would brew a few times a year, and really wasn’t serious about any of it. In 2007, I started kegging and brewing all-grain. By 2008, my interest in brewing was growing exponentially. I began listening to internet radio and lurking on the forums. I figured out what I was doing wrong and what I was doing right. I entered competitions. The beer was starting to get pretty decent. In 2009, I began to enter quite a few competitions and became a beer judge. It’s 2010 and I still have the bug….
